Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Welcome to Moby Posters. These terms explain where we stand on the things that matter most in print - your artwork, our print process, delivery, and what happens if something goes wrong. We've tried to keep this as plain-English as a legal document can be. By placing an order with us, you're agreeing to the terms below.
If anything here isn't clear, just email us at support@mobyposters.co.uk before you order - we're happy to talk it through.
1. Your artwork & file quality
We print exactly what you upload. We don't manually review, edit, or "improve" your file before it goes to print, and we don't reject files for being low-resolution, poorly cropped, or otherwise lower-quality than we'd recommend - that's your call to make, not ours. If the file you supply is low quality, the printed poster will reflect that. We can't be held responsible for the output quality of a poster where the issue originates from the file you gave us to print.
If our upload tool shows a size as unsuitable for your file, that's a helpful heads-up, not a quality judgement on anything else about your image - and it's still ultimately your decision which size and fit option to choose.
2. Colour accuracy
Screens and printers produce colour in fundamentally different ways - your monitor or phone displays colour as light (RGB), while our printers lay down physical ink or toner (CMYK). Because of this, colours you see on screen will never match your printed poster exactly, no matter how well-calibrated either device is. This is a universal limitation of print, not something specific to us or a fault with your order.
We aim for a faithful, professional-standard print of the file you supply, but we can't guarantee an exact colour match to what you see on your own screen, and colour variation of this kind is not grounds for a reprint or refund.
3. Sizing & cutting tolerance
Large-format printing and trimming isn't a precision science down to the millimetre - a small amount of variance is completely normal and expected in the industry. Your finished poster's dimensions may vary by up to 10% from the exact size ordered. If you choose "Close to this size" rather than an exact crop, your poster is printed as large as it can be within your chosen size without stretching or cropping anything out - see our sizing help text at checkout for more on how that works.
4. Copyright & ownership of images
When you upload a file to be printed, you're confirming that you own it, or that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use and reproduce it. This applies whether it's a personal photo, a design you've created, or artwork from a third party.
We do not check uploaded files for copyright ownership, and we have no way of verifying who holds the rights to an image you send us. Responsibility for making sure you're entitled to print an image rests entirely with you. We accept no liability for any copyright infringement arising from a file you've asked us to print, and you agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, or cost we incur as a result of printing a file you weren't entitled to use.
5. Orders, pricing & payment
Prices shown at checkout are the prices payable at the time you place your order. Payment is taken in full via our payment provider (Stripe) before your order goes into production. An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed - you'll receive a confirmation email at that point.
6. Cancellations
Every poster we print is made to your own specification - your file, your chosen size, paper, and fit. Because of this, your order is personalised/bespoke goods, and under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 the standard 14-day right to cancel does not apply once we've begun production. If you need to cancel, contact us at support@mobyposters.co.uk as soon as possible - if production hasn't started yet, we'll always try to help.
7. Delivery
Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates only. We hand every order to a third-party courier once it's printed and packaged, and from that point we're relying on their network to get it to you - we can't guarantee an exact delivery date and time, and we're not responsible for delays caused by the courier.
It's your responsibility to keep an eye on your delivery tracking once it's been sent to you, and, where the courier offers the option, to reroute or reschedule a delivery yourself if you won't be available to receive it. We're not able to cover any costs or losses caused by a delivery attempt that failed because nobody was available at the address given.
8. Loss or damage in transit
We package every poster carefully to survive its journey, but we can't be held responsible for loss or damage once an order is in a courier's hands. If your order arrives damaged, or doesn't arrive at all, please let us know straight away - we'll always do our best to put it right.
To help us resolve this quickly, please report any damage or loss to support@mobyposters.co.uk within 24 hours of the delivery being marked as completed (or, for a non-arrival, within 24 hours of the estimated delivery date). For damaged items, please include clear photos of the damaged poster and its packaging - this is what lets us raise a claim with the courier and get a resolution sorted for you as fast as possible. We may not be able to help with reports made outside this window.
9. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Outside of that, our liability to you for any order is limited to the value of that order, and we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
10. Mistakes on our part
If we've made a genuine error - for example, printing the wrong size, paper, or quantity to what you actually ordered - let us know and we'll put it right with a reprint or a refund. This is separate from, and doesn't affect, anything set out above regarding the file you supplied, colour accuracy, or sizing tolerance, none of which count as an error on our part.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our services change or to reflect legal requirements. The current version will always be available on this page, and the version that applies to your order is the one in place at the time you place it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
